a blazing star
astonished a mountain
warming
a heart from within.
But stars are made
of rings of fire.

torches
Evening sky,
as fierce
and deadly sparks
tumble through
thin air,
burn to cinder,
black ash –
Night Sky Bear
implodes –
strikes frozen ground.
